A multinational logistics business had concerns about how a Ukrainian supplier was sourcing its timber, the supplier’s owner’s ties to Ukrainian elites, and the broader risks of operating in the country.

Veracity consulted with a range of industry sources, political and law enforcement figures, and other firms that had done business with the supplier.

Our investigation found that the supplier had engaged in collusion with public officials, though its involvement was notably limited compared to others, particularly in the context of the widespread collusion seen across Ukraine.

Veracity’s findings enabled the client to bolster its anti-corruption protections, internally and with respect to its suppliers and other partners.
